On the Train in Yangon, a Lot Gets Transported
Baskets, plates, a big sack, and passengers sharing the space in between. On the train in Yangon, that is everyday life.
I took this photo on a local train in Yangon, Myanmar. I spent three months in Bangkok, taking a photojournalism course there. For another visa run, I flew to Myanmar and stayed for a month.
Baskets, plates, a big sack, and passengers sharing the space in between. Here, that is simply part of everyday life.
A few months earlier, I had been sitting alone by a campfire in the deserts of Australia, and I had the idea for a web application for travellers. In the Philippines, I started working on it: gathering
requirements, building a prototype. A name was a long way off. Today, we are building yapuso so that moments like this don't get lost: plan your trip, capture your memories, everything private in one place.
