Jackaroo in the Outback
Weeks in the Australian Outback – no electricity, no comfort, just pure adventure.
Imagine this: You wake up surrounded by red earth, endless horizon – and your “home” is a camp around a water borehole in the middle of nowhere.
That was my life for a month as a Jackaroo WWOOFER in the Australian Outback.
Working with cattle every single day. Pumping water every day – for cooking, washing, showering. No electricity. No distractions. Just the pure essence of life.
What I learned out there:
- How little we actually need to be happy;
- That true freedom emerges when we let go – of comfort, of distractions, of “normal”;
- That the best stories happen where we leave our comfort zone behind.
Moments like these – far away from everything – shaped who I am today. They showed me what truly matters. And they’re the reason I created yapuso: So you can capture, plan, and preserve every one of these precious adventures forever.
