Banaue is a town in the north of the island of Luzon in the green north of the Philippines.
The area around Banaue is mountainous and the highest mountain is Mt. Amuyao at 2628 meters above sea level. The municipality of Banaue is also home to the rice terraces, which are at least 2000 years old and are a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well.
